The parent who had already tried everything

The day a defeated student handed me his D7 paper

Three years ago, a Secondary 3 boy named Kai sat across from me with his exam script in his hand. D7. He had spent the entire previous weekend revising. He looked exhausted, embarrassed, and very close to giving up.
